Michael Bibi, the acclaimed British DJ, is set to return to the Ibiza stage with his ‘One Life’ tour this summer.
The announcement, made on May 24th via social media, revealed that Bibi will perform a special show at Ushuaïa Ibiza on Friday, September 20th. This event marks his first appearance on the island since he triumphantly declared himself cancer-free. The show will feature a handpicked lineup of guest performers, promising a night dedicated to celebrating life, music, and community.
Expressing his excitement on X, Bibi wrote, “Can’t describe the feeling I’m going to have stepping back onto the island knowing I’m healed, alive & ready for summer.” This performance is the second stop on his One Life world tour, following a major homecoming event at London’s Finsbury Park on July 6th. Additional artists will be announced for both events in the upcoming months.
In 2022, Michael Bibi, founder of the Solid Grooves label, was diagnosed with CNS Lymphoma, a rare cancer affecting the brain and spine. After six months of rigorous treatment, he was declared in remission by the end of 2023. Bibi made a surprise comeback at Ibiza’s DC-10 shortly thereafter, performing for the first time since his diagnosis.
The One Life tour is not just about music; it’s also a charitable endeavor. The tour will support various cancer charities, including the Foundation Trust of The Royal Marsden Hospital, where Bibi received his treatment. Attendees will have the opportunity to donate to this charity when purchasing tickets.
Last month, Bibi made his first official performance since being declared cancer-free, headlining Coachella’s new Quasar stage. He performed two sets, surrounded by friends and family, marking an emotional return to the stage.
In addition to his tour, Bibi has launched a new clothing line to raise funds for cancer research. The ‘One Life’ collection features four T-shirts adorned with large butterfly designs, similar to those Bibi wore during his Coachella set. Three of these designs boldly display the message “#FKCANCER.”
