Born Tijs Michiel Verwest in the small Dutch city of Breda in 1969, Tiësto went on to become more than just a world-famous electronic musician—he largely created the model for a powerhouse DJ in the 21st century. He got his start in the mid-’80s, when the skeletal sounds of Belgian new beat ruled Holland’s clubs, but it was trance—sleeker and more emotive—that moved him. His first proper DJ mix , 1997’s Magik One (First Flight), showcases his signature style in dreamy synth melodies drawn out above tough but streamlined drum grooves. As trance’s foremost ambassador, he pioneered stadium raving with solo DJ concerts in sports arenas; in 2004, he played for millions at the Summer Olympics opening ceremony in Athens. And his Club Life weekly radio show and mix series, one of trance’s premier global platforms, became synonymous with the genre itself. But you don’t become the world’s No. 1 DJ by sitting still. By 2011’s Club Life: Volume One Las Vegas, Tiësto was following through on a shift that had begun with his 2009 album, Kaleidoscope, a blend of high-energy trance and airy pop melodies that heralded the next big rave revolution: EDM. With 2014’s A Town Called Paradise, he made good on EDM’s anything-goes promise with a collection encompassing soaring toplines, massive drops, and other big-room thrills without turning his back on the aching melodies that made his name. As the decade drew to a close, playful collabs with a new generation of producers who had come up in his wake—The Chainsmokers, Oliver Heldens, DJ Snake, Hardwell—only served to confirm his versatility and cement his legacy.

Chicago, Detroit, London, Berlin—all hallowed centres of dance music. Nick van de Wall, on the other hand, hails from tiny Spijkenisse, outside Rotterdam, and his rise is a reminder of the Netherlands’ outsized influence on electronic music. De Wall, better known as Afrojack, began DJing in his teens, and by 2007, when he was just 20, he was putting out mischievous, muscular house bangers in the style called “dirty Dutch.” Early singles like “In Your Face” were full of buzzing synths and bore an unmistakable Caribbean influence in the dembow-flavoured drums. (De Wall has familial roots in Suriname, a former Dutch colony in northeast South America.) Afrojack made his global breakthrough in 2010, just as bigger riffs and brighter melodies were reshaping EDM the world over, with “Take Over Control”, an anthem pairing slippery synth squeals with Eva Simons’ sweeter, R&B-influenced melody. A proper earworm, it tunneled its way straight to the heart of pop music. Afrojack brought the same slinky sense of fun to Pitbull’s No. 1 single “Give Me Everything”, which he cowrote and produced, and David Guetta’s “Hey Mama”, featuring Nicki Minaj and Bebe Rexha; his guestbook of A-list collaborators also includes Madonna, Chris Brown and Beyoncé. At the same time, Afrojack’s work with Martin Garrix and Steve Aoki reinforced his dedication to peak-time raving at its most gleefully straightforward: just pounding kick drums, a giddy, drunken synth riff and that unmistakable swing in his snares.

Few DJs have risen faster than Martin Garrix. In 2013, when he was just 16, the Dutch dance-music fan (born Martijn Garritsen in May 1996) paid for his ticket to Miami’s Ultra Music Festival, along with 330,000 other attendees; the following year, he performed there—and also at Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Tomorrowland. The catalyst was his breakout hit, “Animals,” an electro-house anthem that sent shockwaves through EDM, setting the tone for several years’ worth of big-room bangers. (It also got the attention of Justin Bieber manager Scooter Braun, who scooped up the teenaged producer for his roster.) By the time Garrix was 20, DJ Magazine named him the world’s No. 1 DJ. Since then, he has straddled dance cred and pop crossover, collaborating with fellow DJs Dillon Francis, Hardwell, and Tiësto (Garrix's mentor and early champion) as well as Usher, Ed Sheeran, and Dua Lipa. He’s come a long way from the savagery of “Animals”: One of his signature moves, in songs like “In the Name of Love,” with Bebe Rexha, or “Ocean,” with Khalid, is something like the EDM equivalent of the power ballad: taking a silky, sensitive mood and building up the synths and drums until they sound all but indestructible.

BIO

A progressive trance DJ and producer whose cinematic sound is influenced by synth pioneers like Klaus Schulze and Jean Michel Jarre, Armin van Buuren enjoys worldwide recognition and a frantic schedule that takes him all over the globe. Born on December 25, 1976 in Leiden, Holland, Armin became interested in music at an early age (his father was an avid record buyer). A close friend introduced him to the world of dance music, and the Dutch DJ and remixer Ben Liebrand quickly became his main inspiration. It led van Buuren to investigate the roots of the electronic music he was becoming fond of, and numerous Jarre and Schulze CDs were acquired. Computers and turntables were also purchased, and creating his own music became a priority. In 1995, van Buuren attended Leiden University, and a local student club provided the venue for his first DJ gigs. The same year he was fortunate enough to have some demos included on compilations, and when the money came in, it was rolled back into producing 12"s. Cyber Records released his first hit, "Blue Fear," in 1995, and by 1999 his "Communication" was successful enough to get him signed to AM:PM. He also formed his own label, Armind, in 1999 and met Dave Lewis, a man responsible for jump-starting the careers of DJ Tiësto and Ferry Corsten. A collaboration with Tiësto yielded his biggest hit yet on Armind, "Eternity," and marathon five-hour sets brought him more attention. High-profile remixes of Madison Avenue's "Don't Call Me Baby" and Wamdue Project's "King of My Castle" followed, and numerous mix CDs were released on United Recordings. By 2002 he'd placed number five in DJ Magazine's Top 100 and was hosting his own weekly show on the Dutch ID&T radio station. By the end of 2003 he found time to set the worldwide record for longest DJ set (12 and a half hours at a club in The Hague), finish his law degree, and release his first non-mix CD, 76. Shivers followed in 2005, with Imagine arriving in 2008. His 2010 effort, Mirage, featured singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor along with fellow producers BT and Ferry Corsten. Van Buuren returned in 2013 -- after numerous mix albums, including his annual additions to the A State of Trance series -- with his fifth studio album, Intense. The album was expanded in 2015 as Intense: The Most Intense Edition, a set that turned the original LP into a four-CD/one-DVD box featuring remixes and recordings of live gigs. His collaboration with Cosmic Gate, "Embargo," landed that same year. The track would appear on Van Buuren's sixth studio album, the Dutch chart-topping Embrace, which also featured Gavin DeGraw, Hardwell, and Mr. Probz. Over the course of the following years, he continued his yearly State of Trance series, climbing to his 14th installment, State of Trance 2017. ~ David Jeffries

Delivering multi-platinum pop-dance hits back to back with Up & Down, We Like To Party!, Boom Boom Boom Boom!!, We're going to Ibiza and more. The Vengaboys reached the top of the charts in over 25 countries. In 1999 it's America's turn. Up & Down and We Like To Party! storm to first place in the Billboard dance charts. Their debut album "Greatest Hits!" reaches USA gold status and the group is nominated for MTV Best Breakthrough of the Year. The Vengaboys received numerous awards including the TMF Award for Best Dance Act and receive a price for being Hollands' most successful export 'product' that year. (Yes, we beat the tulips, agricultural products, and cheese..) And the hits kept coming; Shalala lala, Kiss (When the sun don't shine), Uncle John From Jamaica all reach top 5 in most countries. EVERY vengaboys single released, became a UK Top 40 hit. Then, after releasing a ballad as their goodbye single, (Kim: "Hahaha! a Vengaboys ballad, what were we thinking?") the group called it quits for a while. Not a real crazy idea after selling 20 million singles and five million albums. Missing the fun and the applause, the group got back together in 2007 and what a ride it has been since! #NeverEndingWorldTour Blond bombshell Denice: "The Vengaboys story is a total adventure. Dutch electronic dance producer Oliver Heldens is regarded as one of the primary figures of the future house scene of the 2010s. While he incorporates elements of numerous styles of dance music, including techno and breakbeat house, his most well-known tracks, including the 2014 U.K. chart-topper "Gecko (Overdrive)," combine deep house with big room and progressive house. His tracks produced under his own name tend to be melodic while maintaining a funky edge. Since 2015, he has additionally released darker, heavier club tracks under the name HI-LO. Heldens began his career with a handful of singles on the CR2 label in early 2013. This was a pivotal year for Heldens, and saw him remix Martin Garrix's smash hit "Animals" as well as release two singles for Spinnin' Records ("Stinger" and "Thumper"). Later that year, he teamed up with Oxygen Records and released "Onya" featuring Alvar and Millas. In the meantime, "Gecko" was picked up by major DJs and producers including Pete Tong, who named the track his "Essential New Tune" in January 2014. It also led to Tiësto releasing the track on his Musical Freedom label. Heldens remixed Robin Thicke's "Feel Good" and made headline appearances at several of Europe's top EDM festivals that summer, including Tomorrowland and Creamfields. A vocal version of "Gecko" titled "Gecko (Overdrive)," featuring The Voice U.K. contestant Becky Hill, was released in June of 2014 and hit number one on the U.K. singles charts. At the end of the year, Heldens had another Top Five hit in the U.K. with "Last Night (Koala)" featuring KStewart. Heldens ranked at number 34 on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs of 2014 survey, and following his Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1, Tong named Heldens "one of the breakthrough producers of the year." In 2015, Heldens launched his Heldeep Records label with the single "Renegade Mastah" by HI-LO, which was later revealed to be a new Heldens project. Under his own name, he continued to release solo singles such as "Melody" and "Bunnydance," as well as collaborations with Da Hool, Zeds Dead, and Tiësto (including the 2016 U.K. Top 40 hit "The Right Song"). He also remixed songs by the Chainsmokers, Katy Perry, Calvin Harris, and others. In 2017, he released the single "What the Funk" (featuring Danny Shah); Steve Aoki released his remix of the track on his Dim Mak label. The following year, Heldens remixed Sofi Tukker's "Best Friend," which featured Nervo, the Knocks, and Alisa Ueno. He also teamed up with Sidney Samson for the single "Riverside 2099." Early 2019 saw the release of the single "Summer Lover" (feat. Devin & Nile Rodgers). ~ Aneet Nijjar

A superstar Dutch DJ who helped shape the EDM explosion of 2012-2013, Robbert van de Corput became Hardwell when he began DJ'ing at the age of 13. Watching the massive dance parties broadcast on MTV encouraged the teen to learn how to mix, and he soon became interested in remixing and working on his own productions. His remixing debut came in 2006 when his version of the Underdog Project's "Summer Jam" hit the clubs, then 2007 found him remixing the stadium techno act Scooter ("Lass Uns Tanzen") and collaborating with fellow DJ Greatski on the track "Never Knew Love." Two years later his bootleg mash-up "Show Me Be" would pit Steve Angello against Laidback Luke for a dancefloor hit, while 2010 saw him drop the first volume of his mix series Revealed. In 2011 he collaborated with Tiësto on the single "Zero 76," which, when combined with remix work for Dada Life ("Fight Club Is Closed [It's Time for Rock'n'Roll]"), Avicii ("Levels"), and Taio Cruz ("Hangover"), added up to his breakout year. In 2012 he would crack the Top Ten of DJ Mag's Top 100 DJ list and top Billboard's dance chart with remixes of Rihanna ("Where Have You Been") and the Wanted ("Chasing the Sun"). His single "Three Triangles (Losing My Religion)" arrived in 2013 along with a fourth volume of Revealed. His full-length debut album United We Are was released in early 2015, with an album of remix versions by DallasK, Vicetone, Bingo Players, and Pep & Rash, amongst others, following later in the same year. The seventh installment of the Revealed series was issued in 2016. That same year, collaborations with Blasterjaxx, Jay Sean, Afrojack, and Craig David appeared, as well as remixes for the Chainsmokers and Jewelz & Sparks. In 2017, he released the single "Creatures of the Night" with pop singer Austin Mahone as well as the eighth installment of Revealed. 2018 saw a deluge of material including the EP Hardwell & Friends, Vol. 3, collaborations with Steve Aoki, Maddix, and Wildstylez, and the full-length Revealed, Vol. 9. ~ David Jeffries

Don Diablo (real name Don Pepijn Schipper) is a future house DJ/producer who has scored numerous chart and club hits starting in the early 2000s. He issued his debut, the house- and hip-hop-flavored Life Is a Festival, in 2008, while its follow-up, Forever, would not arrive until 2018. In the decade between releases, he busied himself with high-profile collaborations and sold-out live sets. Born in Coevorden, Netherlands, the producer got his start in music at the early age of 15, when he signed his first record deal. However, it wasn't until his later years that his productions began to turn heads both within the industry and among electronic dance music lovers the world over. Tracks such as "On My Mind," "Cutting Shapes," and "AnyTime" became instant hits, and the producer soon found that he was in high demand to remix tracks from a vast array of high-profile songwriters and artists spanning a variety of genres. Diablo received frequent requests to bring his eclectic dance and house flavors to numerous chart hits, from the likes of Madonna and Rihanna to Bastille and Ed Sheeran. While balancing remix work alongside his seemingly nonstop international touring schedule, he also found himself collaborating and working on original tracks with artists such as Tiësto, Tinie Tempah, and Kelis. He scored two mid-2000s chart hits with his side project Divided, and subsequent years saw Schipper collaborate with a further range of diverse artists under the Don Diablo moniker. He issued his official full-length debut, Life Is a Festival, in 2008. The set featured appearances by Shystie, Bizzey, J-Rock, Rhymefest, and others, climbing into the Dutch Top 40. The track "Hooligans," which Diablo had produced with rapper Example, saw dominance on the U.K. dance chart in 2009, while the following year saw more success for the young producer with the track "Animale," which featured Canadian electronic outfit Dragonette. Don Diablo had more glowing moments in 2013 when house music titan Pete Tong spun six of his tracks on his BBC Radio 1 show. The year also saw Diablo take up a brief residency at the Las Vegas nightclub Light, and embark on sold-out solo tours of both the U.S. and Asia. In 2015 he put together his own record label, Hexagon, which saw instant success with the release of a collaborative remix of British tropical house DJ Alex Adair's hit "Make Me Feel Better." Subsequent releases on the label also dominated the higher end of the charts, particularly in the States and the U.K., and Hexagon was named Breakthrough EDM Label of 2015 by Beatport. Hexagon's own radio show went on to air in over 35 countries, gaining him an ever-burgeoning fan base of listeners. In 2015, Diablo worked with fellow Dutch DJ Tiësto on the track "Chemicals," which also featured vocals from Danish singer/songwriter Thomas Troelsen. More sold-out tours and performances followed in 2016, with Don Diablo also claiming the number 15 spot on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs list, and ranking as number one Future House Artist of the Year by Beatport. The year also saw the DJ branch out into other creative avenues, creating the theme song to the widely acclaimed Batman: Arkham Origins video game. Once again, the track became a quick hit, racking up millions of plays online. In 2017, the young producer continued touring and put out the compilation album Past.Present.Future via Hexagon, followed in early 2018 by his sophomore full-length Future. Featuring contributions by Nina Nesbitt, Calum Scott, Betty Who, and more, the album marked his first appearance on the Billboard charts, entering the dance/electronic list at number nine. Also that year he issued the non-album single "Survive" featuring Emeli Sandé and Gucci Mane. ~ Rob Wacey

Dutch progressive house duo Tinlicker have released their free-spirited, occasionally wistful tracks on scene-leading labels like Mau5trap and Anjunabeats. Fusing state-of-the-art sound design with emotive songcraft, the pair made an impact with club hits like "Because You Move Me" (2017) and "Nothing Without You" (2018) before releasing their first full-length for Anjunabeats, This Is Not Our Universe, in 2019. Prior to forming Tinlicker in 2012, Jordi Van Achthoven and Micha Heyboer had both been making dance music for over a decade. Van Achthoven released progressive and hard house as JVA and as part of projects like Essential Groovers and Sidesteppers, while Heyboer was a member of well-regarded drum'n'bass trio Black Sun Empire, as well as their trance offshoots Empirical Labs and Charger. The two Utrecht-based producers started releasing Tinlicker tracks on their own Zero Three Zero imprint, beginning with their fittingly titled 2012 EP It's My First Time Here. Lengthy digital album Remember the Future appeared in 2013, and the duo released three EPs on Feed Me's Sotto Voce label, beginning with 2014's Like No Other. Following a handful of singles and an EP of Remember the Future remixes in 2016, Tinlicker reached a wider audience in 2017, when Jalapeño was released by Deadmau5's Mau5trap Recordings, and "Soon You'll Be Gone" (sung by frequent collaborator Thomas Oliver) appeared on Above & Beyond's Anjunadeep imprint. Additionally, "Because You Move Me" (with Helsloot) was issued by Armada Electronic Elements the same year. The duo continued releasing singles on all three labels in 2018, including "Nothing Without You" (another track featuring Oliver) and "If I Was" (with CUT_). Full-length This Is Not Our Universe came out on Anjunabeats in 2019, including collaborations with Oliver, Helsloot, and Run Rivers, as well as the duo's remix of Alt-J's "Breezeblocks." ~ Paul Simpson

Since establishing the duo in 2001, Dutch brothers Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen have blended styles including EDM, techno, and hardstyle as Showtek. After releasing their first full-length collection, Today Is Tomorrow, in 2007, they went on to collaborate with such varied high-profile acts as Tiësto, David Guetta, Moby, and Wyclef Jean in the 2010s. Their best-known dance hits include 2013's "Booyah" with We Are Loud and 2014's "Bad" with Guetta. Showtek first began sharing remixes and original productions from their base of Eindhoven, the Netherlands in the early 2000s. They eventually issued 22 original productions alongside 17 co-productions on the album Today Is Tomorrow via Dutch Master Works in 2007. The same label then released We Live for Music, a compilation of some of their other material from the 2000s, in 2008. Showtek's second LP, Analogue Players in a Digital World, followed in late 2009 on Dutch Master Works and Central Station Records. Released in 2010 by Ministry of Sound, the two-CD mixtape Fuck the System, Vol. 001 featured their remixes of Marcel Woods and System F among tracks by Lisa Lashes, Technoboy, and many others. In the meantime, Showtek were playing headlining shows and festivals where they shared the bill with artists like Deadmau5 and David Guetta. They began a series of collaborations with Tiësto in 2011 that included the 2012 dance hit "Hell Yeah!" The duo followed it with other entries in a project they dubbed "Crazy Collabs" that resulted in tracks with Hardwell, Bassjackers, and Justin Prime ("Cannonball" charted in the Netherlands, France, and Belgium). Later that same year, they co-produced Chris Brown's single "Nobody's Perfect" with David Jost. In 2013, Skrillex's OWSLA label released "Get Loose" by Showtek and Noisecontrollers, and they charted in countries including the Netherlands, Japan, and the U.K. with "Booyah" featuring We Are Loud and Sonny Wilson. A year later, the brothers teamed up with Guetta for another international hit, "Bad" featuring VASSY. It became their highest-charting single to that point in the U.S. and Canada, reaching number 11 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and number 78 on the Canadian Hot 100. Farm Records released Showtek's Essentials in 2015, the same year the duo mixed Skinkalation, Vol. 1 for the Skink label. Issued in 2016, Skinkalation, Vol. 2 opened with the track "The Death of EDM" by Showtek and Guetta. The siblings reached the Top 20 of the U.S. dance chart again with "Believer," a collaboration with Major Lazer, before releasing the reggae-infused EP Amen in 2017. It featured appearances by Freetown Collective and GC. They returned to the Top 20 of the U.S. dance chart with another Guetta collaboration, "Your Love," in 2018. That year also saw their singles "Natural Blues" with Moby and "Down Easy" with MOTi featuring Starley and Wyclef Jean. ~ Marcy Donelson

Vicetone are a Dutch EDM duo who are equally comfortable crafting cinematic instrumentals and vocal-driven club anthems. Victor Pool and Ruben den Boer, friends since childhood, began producing dance music in their tiny home studio in rural Netherlands. Their melodic, bright-eyed tracks caught the attention of dance labels such as Monstercat, which issued their debut single "Harmony" in 2012. Having already remixed hits by Adele, Maroon 5, and Calvin Harris, the duo made an easy transition to producing tracks with vocalists, starting with "Heartbeat" featuring Collin McLoughlin, which came out in 2013. Several more well-received singles followed, and Vicetone toured with Nicky Romero that summer and Australian duo Nervo in the fall. They released tracks on labels like Spinnin' Records, Revealed Records, and Ultra Records in 2014, in addition to performing at the Ultra Music Festival and TomorrowWorld Festival. The duo kept delivering club and festival anthems, and in early 2016, they contributed a track to Warsongs, a remix album of music from the popular online game League of Legends. Vicetone's debut EP, Aurora, arrived on Spinnin' Records in April of 2016. ~ Paul Simpson

BIO

Laidback Luke established his underground credentials with several booming house and techno 12"s during the 1990s before playing a significant role in shaping the EDM sound with his more accessible material during the 21st century. Initially inspired by the rough energy of Chicago and New York house as well as Detroit techno, he became a hot property in clubland with his early singles, which were summed up by the 1999 compilation Psyched-Up. He then switched to a more melodic progressive house style, signing a major-label deal and releasing his debut album, Electronic Satisfaction, in 2002. Through constant worldwide touring, remixes, and original productions, he became one of the leading artists of the EDM scene during the 2000s and 2010s, working with heavyweights such as Swedish House Mafia and Avicii and scoring crossover hits such as the 2008 remake of "Show Me Love" by Robin S. He remained highly active during the 2010s, releasing charting singles with the likes of Steve Aoki, Example, and Martin Solveig in addition to the 2015 full-length Focus. Born in the Philippines and raised in the Netherlands, Laidback Luke, aka Luke van Scheppingen, grew up in a musical household, learning guitar and immersing himself in hip-hop and graffiti culture at a young age. After a chance encounter with Dutch DJ Dobre -- who had been booked to play at a high-school party -- Scheppingen realized that he had a connection with the vibe and energy of dance music. Utilizing a basic production setup, he set about creating his own tracks and sent a demo to Dobre. Realizing his potential, Dobre helped to champion the young producer, with Scheppingen releasing his first 12", Loud Flava, Vol. 1, in 1995. Following up with Vol. 2 a few months later, he then turned heads with his Act the Fool 12" on Dobre's Touché label. His infectious blend of house and techno soon caught the ears of the music press, and with numerous releases throughout 1996, a remix of Green Velvet's The Stalker (which was picked up by leading DJ Carl Cox), and the start of a professional DJ career, Laidback Luke had become an instantly recognizable name in the techno and house scenes. With his production work picking up speed, Scheppingen continued to DJ to sold-out crowds through to the end of the '90s, and in 2000 he released his first major-label single, Rocking with the Best, after he signed a deal with Virgin Records. Following up with Spacefunk and Popmusic, both taken from his 2002 debut album, Electronic Satisfaction, Scheppingen's style shifted to a more electro-house sound, and saw him remixing numerous high-profile artists including Daft Punk. In 2003, he met Swedish DJ and producer Steve Angello after striking up a friendship via his own website's forum. While continuing to forge their own paths in the ever-evolving dance music scene, the pair finally collaborated in 2006 with the release of Otherwize Then. As the Swedish house sound filled the charts, Scheppingen joined forces with Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Axwell for the huge 2007 hit Get Dumb. With Angello and company firm favorites at super-clubs around the world, Scheppingen's profile rose once again, with his name being linked to the world-famous Swedish House Mafia. As the electronic dance scene in America grew at the end of the noughties, the mix of electro-house, dubstep, and trance that had taken hold of Europe a few years earlier exploded as EDM. Collaborations with the likes of EDM mainstay Steve Aoki, multi-genre producer Diplo, and U.K. chart-topper Example in 2011 kept Laidback Luke in the charts. He also remixed songs by some of dance and pop music's biggest stars, including Madonna, Depeche Mode, Robin Thicke, and Tiësto. His long-awaited sophomore release materialized in 2015 when Focus was released with contributions from Yellow Claw, Benny Benassi, and others. Subsequent singles included 2016's "Move to the Sound" (with Afrojack), 2017's "Paradise" (with Made in June), and 2018's "Milkshake (Better Than Yours)" (with Ale Mora and Shermanology). ~ Rich Wilson

Dutch electronic producer Moti delivers booming house anthems in the spirit of acts like Afrojack and Tiesto. After breaking onto the charts in his native Netherlands with 2012 single "Circuits," he made a steady climb with high-profile collaborations with Martin Garrix ("Virus [How About Now]") and Major Lazer ("Boom"). Born Timotheus Romme in Amsterdam, he bought a set of turntables from a friend and started practicing while a teenager. Two years later -- after finishing high school and starting his fashion design education -- he began DJ'ing in Amsterdam. Initially, he was one part of Groovenatics, an EDM duo he created with his cousin, Yordi Corsten. Groovenatics made their debut in 2007 with "Lose Control" and went on to release their own material, as well as remixes, over the next three years. In 2010, they parted ways and Romme began work on his solo career under the Moti moniker. Restless and experimental, he bolstered his catalog with both festival-sized EDM bangers and more intimate, melodic soundscapes fit for headphones. In addition to electronic music, Moti also experimented with the creation of indie rock, pop, hip-hop, and a cappella. He released his debut singles, "Circuits" and "Kinky Denise," with Dutch producer Quintino in 2012. These caught the ear of Tiesto, who signed Moti to his Red Light Management company. The pair released the track "Back to the Acid" that same year. Moti went on to collaborate with other progressive house producers like Martin Garrix ("Virus"), Blasterjaxx ("Ghost in the Machine"), and W&W ("Spack Jarrow"). At the end of 2015, he released a collaboration with Diplo's Major Lazer, "Boom," which also featured guest spots by Ty Dolla $ign, Wizkid, and Kranium. He continued to issue singles with Spinnin', including "East West" with Kenneth G, "Wired" with Jay Hardway and Babet, and "Break the House Down" from Tiesto's 2018 EP I Like It Loud. ~ Neil Z. I bought my first DJ gear from my savings when I was twelve years old, and from that moment on you could always find me behind the decks. The foundation was built for my melodic sounds and I believe it still forms the base of my music today. The rest is history, or history in the making.

It shouldn’t be too hard to tell a real thing from the next hype, especially for those who have been around long enough. A true artist, whether he’s spinning or singing (or both) is not something we stumble upon very often. What separates a true artist from the rest of the pack and makes us gaze in admiration? Meet Andy & Dorothy Sherman, a dynamic duo like no other. Born into a family where singing was as natural (if not more so) as speaking, it didn’t take long for both of them to follow their dad’s and uncle’s (Sherman Brothers) musical footsteps. All kinds of music made it into the Sherman’s living room: soul, jazz, gospel, disco, old Motown records... Andy and Dorothy sure know their classics. When the time came to spread their wings and make the next move they were more than ready. Next move being their own, separate carriers. Which probably explains why it took them a couple of years to “get back together” and come up with an idea for Shermanology.

Not many artists turn away from the bright lights of mainstream success, yet that’s exactly what Zonderling has done. Having enjoyed and appreciate global visibility with hits like ‘Crazy’ and ‘Love To Go’, the Dutch duo, consisting of Martijn van Sonderen (producer) and Jaap de Vries (DJ), decided to make an uncompromised return to their roots.
In doing so, Zonderling have tightened their ship, choosing only a handful of venues to work with and keeping their release schedule to a minimum. In the meanwhile reconnecting with the vibe of earlier productions like ‘Sonderling’ and ‘Tunnel Vision’, taking themselves back to the dark, strobe-lit energy of intimate dance floors. Not only through sound, but also by giving their tracks a Dutch title, like they used to do.
Ultimately, Zonderling’s story is about artistic freedom and being solely focused on continuing their own vision and version of today’s electronic music.

Quinten Circle, a Dutch DJ and producer whose name might not be on everyone's lips, yet he's been steadily accumulating his musical wisdom. Picture a 14-year-old taking his place behind the turntables at gatherings – a seemingly unremarkable act that birthed his passion for music in new dimensions. For him, nothing rivaled the joy of coaxing people onto the dance floor every weekend, creating nights to remember. Balancing textbooks with marathon DJ sets, Quinten mastered the art of crowd connection. Extended performances sharpened his skill in curating unique experiences. Adapting effortlessly to diverse audiences became his trademark. Post-university, he embraced music wholeheartedly. Beyond playing tracks, he began crafting his own, releasing bootlegs on Soundcloud. In 2022, his remix of The Chainsmokers' High soared to #1 on US Dance Radio and was the #2 most played track at Sirius XM. Later that year, he released his cover version of Gloria Estefan’s Conga, with major playlist supports and over fourteen million streams on Spotify alone. Not knowing what would happen the following year. His single Dance For Me (1, 2, 3) took over the Internet with close to one hundred million streams across platforms, major DJ support and countless radio plays. This brought him to renowned Dutch venues, like Maassilo. His new single Push It (Ooh La La) features the original artists from the iconic '80s group Salt-N-Pepa and is a fresh take on their worldwide No. 1 hit Push-It.

BIO

Quintino is the musical alias of Dutch EDM/progressive house producer and DJ Quinten van den Berg, whose ecstatic club anthems have become staples of dance music festivals as well as the Dutch pop charts. Ranging from big room house to trap, his tracks are always filled with euphoric melodies and hard beats, and his highly energetic DJ sets have enraptured audiences across the world. Active as a DJ since the early 2000s, he broke through near the end of the decade with his smash hit remix of Cidinho & Doca's "Rap das Armas." This was followed by further singles such as 2011's chart-topping "Epic," one of the first big room house tracks to make a major impact, as well as collaborations with EDM heavyweights such as Afrojack, Tiësto, Hardwell, and Steve Aoki. His Go Harder EP series, initiated in 2016, focused on his heavier, more trap-influenced side. Born in Den Helder, the Netherlands in 1985, Quintino began DJ'ing while a student in high school. Picking up gigs at local clubs, the 18-year-old DJ caught the attention of Laidback Luke, who soon mentored the aspiring artist. Quintino began producing tracks and remixes in 2007, as well as becoming involved with popular Dutch dance event Nope Is Dope, for which he began producing mix CDs. In 2008, Quintino produced a house remix of "Rap das Armas," Brazilian rap duo Cidinho & Doca's cover of an early-'90s funk carioca song originally performed by Júnior & Leonardo. Quintino's remix hit number one on the Dutch pop charts in early 2009, and the producer began releasing his own singles, with releases appearing on Spinnin' Records, Rodeo Media, and his own SupersoniQ label. Two collaborations with Dutch house artist Mitch Crown, "Heaven" (2009) and "You Can't Deny" (2010), both hit the Top 30 of the Dutch singles chart. Quintino collaborated with Afrojack on a few tracks in 2011, including "Selecta," which was also a hit. Quintino scored another number one hit on the Dutch charts with "Epic," a collaboration with Sandro Silva released on Tiësto's Musical Freedom label in late 2011. The follow-up single "We Gonna Rock" appeared on the same label in early 2012, while tracks appeared on Afrojack's Wall Recordings and other labels. Other charting singles included "Circuits" (with Moti, 2012), "Dynamite" (with Moti and Taylr Renee, 2013), and "Escape (Into the Sunset)" (with UNA, 2015). By 2015, Quintino's touring schedule was restless, exceeding 200 gigs a year across the globe, and DJ Mag included him in their Top 100 DJs list in both 2014 and 2015. The following year, he released the Go Harder and Go Harder, Pt. 2 EPs on Spinnin' Records, with Go Harder, Pt. 3: Do or Die appearing in 2017. Go Harder, Pt. 4: EDM's Revenge appeared in 2018, by which point Quintino had climbed into the Top 30 of DJ Mag's annual DJ poll. The Steve Aoki collaboration "Mayhem" appeared during the year, and Quintino additionally released tracks with Hardwell and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, as well as solo singles such as "How It's Done" and "Inferno." ~ Paul Simpson

When it comes to hardstyle, it’s impossible to argue the fact that any artist has had a bigger impact on the genre than Headhunterz. Willem Rebergen kicked off his DJ career in 2007, as he dedicated himself to becoming the best producer in the genre. His originals, as well as the Project One venture with Wildstylez, redefined the hardstyle sound from the early 2000’s until this very day. A rise unparalleled, Headhunterz continues to take hardstyle to new heights, making it into an international phenomenon. From 2014-2017, Headhunterz explored new territories within the electronic dance scene, but Willem became homesick, missing his beloved hardstyle scene. In 2017 he announced his return to hardstyle, and the community welcomed him back with open arms, as he travelled to 125 performances across 34 countries for a comeback tour. A journey which inspired him to create ‘The Return of Headhunterz’, surpassing 15 million streams on Spotify. Along with his #28 position in the 2018 DJ Mag Top 100, it showed him that he’ll always find a warm welcome in his home base. The album also marked the launch of a new label and creative platform, ART OF CREATION, with his colleague Wildstylez, and the relaunch of the HARD with STYLE Podcast, recorded live from a brand new studio. This is where new Headhunterz music comes to life, plans to conquer new territory for his tribe are forged and the one thing reigns that will always remain Headhunterz’ greatest achievement; the music from within.

Their long list of global releases can be traced all the way back to 2009 on labels like Spinnin’ Records, Universal, Mad Decent and Dimmak and is stacked with extraordinary collabs with the likes of Major Lazer, M.I.A. and Afrojack. And anyone that knows anything about the Dutch charts, knows that The Partysquad practically live there, with over 12 singles all the way up in the Top 40 over the past 10 years. While combining some of the world’s greatest genres into a new wave that pushed boundaries aside, revolutionary tracks like “Original Don”, “Oh My” and “Double Bubble Trouble” quickly took over every dancefloor, festival and radio station known to man. And while the success of their releases turned into worldwide gigs, their secret weapon has always been their energetic and highly sought after live show. Tomorrowland, Glastonbury, Ultra and many more experienced what’s best described as flawless creative chaos. After patiently putting their puzzle together piece by piece, it’s time to finally show you the bigger picture. The Partysquad are gearing up and ready to unleash what we’ve all been waiting for.
