Behind the mysterious name HVME (pronounced like the English "Hume") stands a young producer born in Murcia, south-east Spain. In 2016 he started with his first productions, which musically move between Future House, Slap House, and Deep House. His international breakthrough finally came in 2020, when his track "Goosebumps", which was released on the label Lithuania HQ, went through the ceiling. The "Goosebumps" cover version had such a tremendous success that in 2021 HVME released an official collaboration with Travis Scott himself. By the way, the artist's name is an abbreviation of his civil name, in combination with the name of the Scottish philosopher David Hume (1711 -1776), with a "V" replacing the "U". A worldbeat dance fixture of the late 20th century and beyond, having sold tens of millions of albums worldwide, Enigma were an instant success with their unlikely combination of new age tones, chilled-out club production, and samples of Gregorian chant. The project arrived with their 1991 single "Sadeness (Pt. I)," which immediately became an international hit and the calling card for their unique sound. Over the next three decades, Enigma would release upwards of eight albums and collections, many of which spent time in the Billboard charts. Enigma were formed in 1990 by Bucharest native Michael Cretu. He had been involved in music for a while at that point, having released several solo albums as well as worked as a producer with other artists. When working with his wife, German dance-pop artist Sandra, on her 1987 single "Everlasting Love," he'd used some brief samples of Gregorian chant in the song's intro. This began a fascination for Cretu with incorporating the archaic sounds into a more contemporary music format. In 1988, the couple moved to Ibiza, Spain, and Cretu began working out of a home studio on the project that would become Enigma. He recorded the first material for this project over the course of 1990 with creative input from collaborators David Fairstein and Frank Peterson. Debut album MCMXC a.D. was released in December of that year and lead single "Sadeness (Pt. I)" became an overnight smash hit. Powered by excitement for the single, the album was also a multi-platinum success, eventually selling over four million copies in the United States alone and spending the next five years on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Several other singles were issued from the album as its unexpectedly lengthy time in the spotlight continued. The samples of Gregorian chants that were employed heavily throughout the album were used without permission, and these uncleared samples eventually led to a lawsuit that was settled out of court. On their second album, 1993's Cross of Changes, some of the old-world elements remained, but the new age angle came to the forefront in a set of slick, radio-friendly dance-pop tracks. The flute samples and breathy spoken vocals of MCMXC a.D. were replaced in part with samples of Native American singing, best exemplified by hit single "Return to Innocence." The album was the group's second to climb to number one on the U.K. charts and again sold in the millions. Enigma 3: Le Roi Est Mort, Vive le Roi! followed in 1996. By the time of 2000's Screen Behind the Mirror, the initial hype surrounding the band had died down, but there was a die-hard Enigma fan base offering enough support to keep the project going, despite the album falling short of platinum sales. The next year, a greatest-hits package entitled Love Sensuality Devotion: The Greatest Hits arrived, compiling most of Enigma's singles as well as new track "Turn Around." DALEXO, a young talented musician and producer based in Barcelona (Spain) released his debut single "Alive Again" at the age of 19 in December 2020, with nothing more and nothing less than on one of the main record labels in Spain, Clipper's Sounds.

Spain-based producer Eric Estornel initially reserved the name Maceo Plex for his festival-friendly house productions before gradually taking the project into a darker, more introspective direction. After establishing himself in the techno world for his work as Maetrik beginning in the early 2000s, and exploring more abstract electro and IDM as Mariel Ito around the middle of the decade, he began releasing some of his most accessible tracks under the Maceo Plex handle starting in 2009. Over the course of the following decade, the project evolved from deep, sexy house with prominent Chicago and Detroit influences (such as on debut full-length Life Index) to a significantly more dramatic sound (particularly the ambitious Solar). In addition to releasing singles and full-lengths on well-regarded labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Kompakt, and Minus, Maceo Plex has mixed volumes of the DJ-Kicks and Fabric series. Estornel was born in Texas in 1978. Raised in Dallas, his family moved to Miami when he was a teenager. He started DJ'ing in 1993, and by the end of the '90s he had begun making music, releasing techno and electro tracks under names such as Eric Entity and Tali Wackas on a short-lived label called Illmatic Records. He started releasing music as Maetrik in 2001, and instantly made an impact on the tech-house scene, with EPs and full-lengths on labels like Treibstoff and Iron Box Music. He launched his more experimental alias Mariel Ito in 2005, releasing the full-length My Cyborg Depths on SCSI-AV and the Indexed EP on Modern Love. In late 2009, Estornel released a digital EP titled Clubs, which was co-credited to Maetrik and Maceo Plex. After moving to Valencia, Spain in 2010, he began concentrating on the Maceo Plex moniker, as well as a more soulful house sound. "Vibe Your Love," a cover of Stevie Wonder's "For Your Love," was released by Crosstown Rebels in 2010, and quickly became a club hit. This set the stage for the 2011 full-length Life Index, which was also a success, and Estornel began devoting much more time to his work as Maceo Plex. Following his 2013 installment of !K7's DJ-Kicks series, he began working on an ambitious full-length titled Solar. Murcof merges contemporary ‘holy minimalist’ orchestration and melancholic techno to create a near devotional music that has been compared to imaginary collaborations between Arvo Pärt and Thomas Brinkmann or Giya Kancheli and the Aphex Twin. Corona is involved with the rising Nortec movement, founded by artists (including Panoptica, Ruisort and Loopdrop) whose electronica incorporates popular traditional Mexican music. He is reported to be a near household name in his homeland, for the Nortec music he records under the Terrestre alter ego, and is also involved in film shorts, video games and contemporary dance performances. In 2002, Murcof released his first EP of twitchy digital clicks and reconfigured late twentieth-century compositions via Context Free Media, the label run by San Francisco tech-minimalist Sutekh. His long-playing debut Martes (Spanish for Tuesday, the day of the week that Corona started recording the album) was initially released on Mexican micro-indie Static Discos before being picked up by UK electronica label Leaf. The mysterious, atmospheric music on the album perfectly reflected the parched, near lunar landscapes of the Rumorasa mountain range pictured on the sleeve. To create Martes, Corona utilized software downloaded from the Internet to process the sounds of his contemporary classical CD collection, juxtaposing the by-product of this experimentation with arid micro-rhythms. Corona’s stated basis for the acclaimed album was to retain the mood and intention of the original classical recordings whilst transforming the samples into something entirely new. Corona notably claims Arvo Pärt and Henryk Górecki as explicit influences on Murcof.

Pional (real name, Miguel Barros) is a Spanish electronic musician, producer, and remix artist from Madrid. He first made his appearance on the scene in 2006 under the name Alt Fenster and put out several singles and remixes for artists on labels such as Maripoza and Praesul Records. He continued under this moniker for a number of years before putting out his first EP as Pional -- titled A Moot Point -- via Hivern Discs in 2010. He followed up with the Last House on the Left EP on Permanent Vacation in 2011 and began to earn comparisons to artists such as Grizzly Bear, Moodymann, and Caribou. 2012 saw him appear on fellow electronic producer, John Talabot's record, Fin, and went on to tour with John to promote the album, opening for the xx throughout the U.S. and Europe in the same year. A pioneer of the Balearic sound, José Padilla was the quintessential chillout DJ. The influential selector rose to fame as a resident at Café del Mar, an iconic bar located on the Spanish island of Ibiza. Padilla soundtracked countless sunsets with an eclectic mix of ambient, downtempo pop, mellow jazz, film music, and more. He began curating the Café del Mar series in 1994, and by the end of the decade, the compilations (and their derivatives) were ubiquitous in record stores as well as hip eateries, boutiques, and lounges alike. Padilla included his own productions on the albums, and he released his debut full-length, Souvenir, in 1998. He remained an in-demand DJ throughout the world, and continued releasing compilations and mixed sessions, including the Café Solo and Bella Musica series. He occasionally returned to producing music, and his final album, the Balearic house effort So Many Colours, appeared in 2015. José Padilla was born in Barcelona in 1955. He moved to Ibiza around 1976, and soon started to DJ on the island, which was becoming known as a premiere destination of the nascent clubbing culture. After spinning at several spots, he began his legendary residency at Café del Mar, a bar located in San Antonio, in 1991. Having released bootleg mixtapes of his mix sessions due to demand from clubgoers, he started compiling an official Café del Mar series, with the first volume arriving in 1994. He lived part-time in England for several years and made several appearances on BBC Radio One's Essential Mix program, and continued to DJ sets of various tempos throughout the world. A producer and DJ of mostly low-key house music designed for private and public settings, John Talabot (born Oriol Riverola in Spain) surfaced in 2006 under the names Oriol D.a.r.y.l. and just D.a.r.y.l. The first John Talabot 12", the three-track My Old School, was released in April 2009 on Germany's Permanent Vacation label. Two months later, a second 12", "Sunshine," was released on the producer's own Hivern Discs. Additional well-regarded singles followed on those two labels, as well as on Young Turks, throughout 2010 and 2011, while Talabot remixes for the likes of Tahiti 80 and Teengirl Fantasy piled up. Debut album ƒIN, including a handful of vocal tracks courtesy of Pional and Ekhi, appeared in February 2012 on Permanent Vacation. A special edition of the album added remixes from Bullion and Pachanga Boys, among others. Talabot mixed a volume of !K7's long-running DJ-Kicks series, released in November 2013. The mix included "Sideral," the first track produced by Talabot and Swedish producer Axel Boman under the name Talaboman.
