A groundbreaking documentary is currently in the works, shedding light on the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Avicii, even five years after his tragic passing. As reported by Variety, this upcoming film will showcase previously unseen footage from Avicii’s early days and his meteoric rise to fame, along with interviews featuring his family and close friends, including renowned artists Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso from Swedish House Mafia.

Leading the project is Lawrence Bender, an Academy Award-winning film producer known for his collaborations with legendary director Quentin Tarantino, having worked on iconic films like Pulp Fiction and Good Will Hunting. As one of the most prolific movie producers in the world, Bender brings his expertise and passion to this documentary, which currently does not have a set release date. Collaborating alongside Bender is Orlando John, his producing partner for the project, who expressed the significant impact Avicii had on the music industry. John emphasized that despite people thinking they know the story, they are unaware of the true events. He added, “I feel a profound responsibility to ensure that it’s told accurately and objectively. This documentary will give the audiences a deeper understanding of the brand that left an indelible mark on music and culture.”

Avicii, also known as Tim Bergling, left an indelible impression as one of the most gifted dance music producers of all time. However, his untimely death at the age of 28, stemming from mental health struggles exacerbated by an exhausting tour schedule, highlighted the importance of addressing these issues within the music industry. In response to this tragedy, Avicii’s family established the Tim Bergling Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to funding research and developing preventive solutions for young individuals dealing with suicidal thoughts.

Bender expressed his excitement not only for Avicii’s story but also for the unique perspective that Orlando brings as the director of the documentary. Their collaborative vision promises to deliver an eye-opening experience for viewers, providing a comprehensive portrayal of the influential artist and his profound impact on the world.
