“Tough Love” is the new and second single by Avicii from the “Tim” album, to be released on June 6th. Written and produced by Tim Bergling and Vargas & Lagola (Vincent Pontare and Salem Al Fakir), “Tough Love” remains faithful to the contagious nature of Avicii’s hits and his desire to discover new sounds.
Al Fakir and Pontare have worked with Tim for a long time: together they have made, among the various hits, Silhouettes, Hey Brother, Without You. After discovering the music of northwest India, in the spring of 2017, Tim played a melody to the two collaborators : “Curiously, Tim managed to fit the Indian influences perfectly into one that we were working on – Pontare says -: he was a genius of melody”.
In his notes, Tim wrote about Tough Love: “It must be a duet. It would be great to have a real couple, or two people who worked together to be considered a real couple.”
