The Prophet

BIO
Up & coming rapper and songwriter The Prophet, is a young artist with a unique focus on intricate rhymes and aggressive vocals. Prophet lived in many different neighborhoods throughout the city of Ottawa, but primarily grew up on the city’s east side, particularly in and around Centretown. At age twelve, Prophet was introduced to hip hop, and used the art as a writing process and form of self expression. He began vigorously and therapeutically writing lyrics every day, drawing inspiration from hip hop legends that influenced his style, such as: Nas, Eminem, Biggie, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Kanye West, T.I., Lil’ Wayne, and multiple others.
Prophet began recording his first album around the age of 17, this was eventually completed in 2021 and was titled “Ground Zero.” On this soundcloud exclusive project, Prophet featured some of his friends who share a passion for lyrical rap, Tanatswa and Lounatic. The entire album was recorded with a cheap microphone, a laptop, and a small one-bedroom apartment.
Currently, Prophet is still putting out music, and dreams to expand his influence into larger audiences worldwide.
