Roderic

Roderic was born in Monterrey, Mexico, into a family of artists. From an early age, he immersed himself in the world of performance and music, studying French theatre, classic clowning, African percussion, and piano, before discovering electronic music. His development as an artist is driven by his constant exploration, towards a sound that stands out for its uniqueness and technical precision. His debut album, Perfect Mirror, came out in October 2016 on the Berlin-based label Katermukke. Following Perfect Mirror, he embarked on a creative journey to the Dominican Republic with his close friend Mattia, seeking out musicians to collaborate with for his next album. It all came together quite quickly, resulting in the 2018 release of his genre-defying second LP It All Depends, also out on Kater. Since then, Roderic has released singles, EPs, and remixes on some of the industry’s most influential labels, always pushing the boundaries of electronic music. His sound distils a kaleidoscopic array of influences into a cohesive body of work. As the co-founder of Dafne Records, he continues to shape his creative vision, with his third album, In Mind, set for release in 2025.
