Jiony

Musician, composer and producer from Mexico City, now living in San Miguel de Allende. Some of my other projects are Karen y Los Remedios, Extraperrestre and Ser Humano. My music could be summarized as Lo-Fi, Downtempo and Trip Hop. Lo-Fi because I tend to cut all the high frequencies of the sounds when I’m composing because those frequencies are easily annoying . Later in the production I compensate for that, but since I learned there’s a name for that kind of music (lo-fi), I’ve been trying to leave my music as I think it sounds better. Downtempo because whatever style of music I make it’s almost always on the slow spectrum, around 60 to 90 bpm, depending on the style. Finally, Trip Hop is considered a Downtempo genre but I like the dark feel it has, which I almost always tend to take my music into a dark place. Also, some of my major influences come from that genre.
