Jason Nevins

BIO
Producer, songwriter & remixer Jason Nevins, began DJing while working at his college radio station and upon graduating, began creating his first remixes. Remixes for Janet Jackson and Lil’ Kim followed before Nevins rocketed to international fame in 1998 with his production of the Run-D.M.C. classic “It’s Like That,” which topped pop charts across the World on its way to selling nearly 5 million copies. Much of Nevins’ subsequent work also reflected his love for ’80s hits, with reworkings of Run-D.M.C.’s “It’s Tricky” and Rob Base’s “It Takes Two” as well as Falco’s “Der Kommissar” and Toni Basil’s “Mickey”. In 1999, Nevins signed with Sony Germany and released his album entitled ‘Uni-vs-al’. Nevins released other albums, such as Pushing It Hard (2003) and The Funk Rocker (2005), but he thrived with the DJ-mix format which he mixed on Ultra Dance, Vol. 10 and Ultra Weekend, Vol. 5 in 2009. Republic Records came calling with new remixes and a DJ mix for the soundtrack for MTV’s Jersey Shore. All the while, he continued to remix a wide variety of big singles, including Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love,” Carly Rae Jepsen’s “The Kiss,” and Ariana Grande’s “Popular Song.
