Abstract
The goal of the Climax Algorithm is to create a ranking based 100% on real data, collected from the world’s leading music and social platforms between October 1st, 2024 and September 30th, 2025.
There are no votes or opinions: only numbers, results, and measurable growth.
Climax analyzes publicly available data to celebrate the growth and impact of electronic music artists worldwide.
Where the Data Comes From
The algorithm analyzes 17 different parameters from 13 global platforms, including Spotify, YouTube, Beatport, TikTok, Instagram, and more.
Each artist is evaluated through thousands of data points, reflecting streams, followers, DJ support, and fan engagement.
Weights and Final Score
Each parameter has a specific weight that reflects its importance within the music landscape.
The algorithm applies a weighted sum to calculate a final score called “points”, which determines every artist’s position in the Climax ranking.
Here’s how the weights are distributed:
Streaming Power – 40%
Measures the strength of an artist’s music on streaming platforms, based on listening and fan growth.
- Spotify monthly listeners → 15%
- Spotify followers → 5%
- YouTube views → 10%
- SoundCloud followers → 5%
- Deezer fans → 2%
- Anghami monthly listeners → 2%
- Anghami followers → 1%
In short: it measures how widely the artist’s music is listened to around the world.
DJ Support / Industry Credibility – 30%
Evaluates the artist’s recognition within the electronic music industry, based on DJ support and Beatport performance.

- Beatport score → 15%
In short: it reflects how much influence the artist has in the DJ scene and how often their tracks are played by peers.
Social Reach – 20%
Measures audience growth and engagement across major social platforms.

- YouTube subscribers → 3%
- X (Twitter) followers → 1%
- Facebook followers → 1%
In short: it represents the artist’s community strength and communication power with fans.
Event & Fanbase Engagement – 10%
Focuses on the artist’s live popularity and real connection with their audience.
