Dj Koze
BIO
DJ Koze, born Stefan Kozalla in Marrakech, is a German DJ and producer known for his genre-defying, psychedelic sound. Starting in the 1990s with the hip-hop group Fischmob, he later co-founded the electronic pop band International Pony.
His solo albums Amygdala (2013) and Knock Knock (2018) earned critical acclaim, featuring artists like Caribou, Apparat, and Róisín Murphy. The single “Pick Up” became a global hit.
Renowned for his remixes, Koze’s takes on tracks like Matthew Herbert’s “It’s Only” and Moderat’s “Bad Kingdom” are iconic. His label, Pampa Records, supports underground talent. In 2023, he produced Róisín Murphy’s Hit Parade, her highest-charting album, and released the Wespennest EP, his first solo work since 2018.
DJ Koze’s highly anticipated new album Music Can Hear Us, a follow-up to his worldwide hit album Knock knock’ including global dance hit “Pick Up”, will be released on April 4th on Pampa Records and is a 64-minute lasting trip into space and back.
