Demuir’s musical output has made him stand out among his peers and be championed by dance music’s elite artists. He is proving this with his string of high-profile releases on Hot Creations, Fool’s Gold, Desolat, Origins, Heist, and Elrow and an incredible stream of the finest underground house releases on his label, Purveyor Underground. He is seen as a leader in the genre with sample pack creations for Loopmasters / Loopcloud. Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Demuir started playing on his dad’s Hammond B3 organ as a child before seriously pursuing music at 16, mastering the keys, bass, drums, and percussion instruments. He fell in love with house music after hearing Derrick May’s “Strings of Life” and seeing May, DJ Sneak, and Mark Farina at Industry, the legendary Toronto nightclub. He perfected his craft in Canada at venues like Nest & One Loft in Toronto, Salon Daomé & Circus in Montreal, Club Called Rhonda in LA, and Electric Island. Now, he has taken his talents global with performances at Elrow-Barcelona-Miami, Egg-London, Boiler Room @ Halcyon-San Francisco and Toronto, Pawn & Co-Melbourne, Pikes-Ibiza, Coda-Toronto, Ocean Beach Club-Ibiza, Jamie Jones’ Paradise-New York-Miami, and tours in Australia and South America. Demuir’s incredible career ascent shows no signs of slowing down for 2024 and beyond with continuous releases and events from his Purveyor Underground imprint with remixes of Kerri Chandler, CeCe Peniston alongside new EPs on Robsoul, Origins, and Frappe.
