Brazilian DJ and producer Mochakk, also known as Pedro Maia, has launched his own nightclub in his hometown of Sorocaba. The venue, named OBLIQO, is located in the Parque Campolim district and is set to become a hotspot for electronic music enthusiasts.
OBLIQO aims to connect and inspire both local and international electronic music communities. The grand opening will take place this Friday, September 6th, with a special event celebrating the release of Mochakk’s latest EP, Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 – Part II, under Circoloco Records.
Equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system designed by Brazilian company 4VIAS Professional Audio, and additional gear by B&C Speakers, OBLIQO promises an immersive audio experience.
The venue also features a gallery space dedicated to showcasing the evolution of electronic music, through rotating exhibits of posters, album covers, and stories shared by DJs and industry professionals.
In addition to regular club nights, OBLIQO will host workshops aimed at bridging the gap between artists and the public, led by seasoned industry veterans and covering various aspects of the music scene.
Next Friday, September 13th, the celebrations continue with a performance by Belo Horizonte-based artist VHOOR. Stay tuned for more updates by following OBLIQO on Instagram.
