Fred again.. has announced his upcoming album, ten days, set to drop on September 6th, featuring a lineup of notable collaborations.
The album comprises 10 tracks, with only one solo piece, and includes collaborations with major artists such as Skrillex, Four Tet, Anderson .Paak, Sampha, Joy Anonymous, The Japanese House, and the iconic Emmylou Harris, among others.
Fred introduced the album via social media, describing it as a deeply personal work that captures intense emotions found in fleeting, quiet moments shared with both friends and strangers. He explained, “My new record is called ten days. It’s ten songs about ten days. While there have been some big, crazy moments over the past year, these songs are mostly about small, intimate moments. Some are incredibly joyful, while others explore the opposite side of that spectrum.”
Fred’s last solo album, Actual Life 3, was released nearly two years ago and won the 2024 Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album. In 2023, he also released Secret Life, an ambient collaboration with Brian Eno, and USB, a unique compilation project that Fred has described as “an infinite album” that he will continue to expand as long as he makes music.
Ahead of the release, fans can pre-order a special vinyl edition of ten days, which includes a 12″ 140g white vinyl, a gatefold sleeve, an A2 poster featuring images representing each track, and personal notes from Fred on each song. The vinyl is expected to ship on October 25th.
