Tomorrowland, renowned for its epic festival experiences, is set to mark its 20-year anniversary in a truly unique way. This time, the spotlight shines on the budding talents of young DJs between the ages of nine and 17. In a groundbreaking collaboration with the Tomorrowland Academy, seven young DJs will have the chance to showcase their skills on multiple stages during the festival’s upcoming editions.
Scheduled to take place across two weekends in Boom, Belgium, from July 19th to 21st and July 26th to 28th, Tomorrowland promises an unforgettable celebration. Partnering with the Tomorrowland Academy, which is known for its DJ and producer programs in Antwerp and Hasselt, the festival aims to inspire and empower young talents globally.
This year’s lineup of young performers will be featured across various platforms, including Atmosphere, Rise, House of Fortune, and The Rose Garden. Unlike previous editions where young DJs were limited to the Rise stage, this collaboration expands their presence, offering them a wider audience and a chance to shine on different platforms.
Among the selected young DJs is Archie, a nine-year-old talent from the UK known for spinning vibrant sets encompassing house, garage, and drum ‘n’ bass. Also joining the lineup is DJ Dolores from Belgium, known for delivering electrifying EDM performances.
Leading up to the festival, the Tomorrowland Academy will host a Start to DJ-Kids Camp from July 8th to 12th, providing professional mentorship to aspiring DJs aged 8 to 16. The camp will culminate with performances at Tomorrowland’s Neighborhood Party on July 24th, offering a taste of the festival atmosphere.
This initiative reflects Tomorrowland’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of DJs and producers. Beyond in-person boot camps, the festival recently launched the Online Tomorrowland DJ & Producing Academy, providing aspiring talents with accessible opportunities for growth and development.
The 20th anniversary edition of Tomorrowland promises to be a spectacle like no other, with more than 800 artists performing across 16 stages. The lineup includes industry heavyweights such as Armin van Buuren, Amelie Lens, Bonobo B2B Dixon, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Four Tet, Swedish House Mafia, and many more.
Centered around this year’s theme of ‘LIFE,’ Tomorrowland aims to transport attendees to the vibrant world of Silvyra, capturing the essence of lush nature and cosmic conjunctions. Additionally, the festival will feature green initiatives, including the ‘Train of Amicorum,’ an overnight European sleeper train offering eco-friendly travel options from Prague and Berlin to Belgium.
Tomorrowland’s commitment to sustainability and fostering emerging talent underscores its status as a global leader in the festival landscape. Tomorrowland continues to push boundaries and inspire generations of music lovers worldwide.
